What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores on your device to make it work properly or to collect information about your browsing. Some are essential, others are activated only if you give consent.

Technical cookies (always on)

They are needed for the site to work and to store your preferences (for example the choice you make on this banner). They require no consent and are not used to profile you.

Statistics · Matomo

With your consent I use Matomo to analyse visits in aggregate, anonymous form and understand which content is most useful. Matomo runs on my own server: the statistics never pass through an external service, and the data is neither shared with third parties nor used for advertising. Without consent, no statistics script is loaded.

Instagram feed · Behold

To show the latest shots from my Instagram profile I use the Behold service, which collects the content from Instagram (Meta) and publishes it from its own servers (behold.pictures). Until you give consent the feed cells stay empty and no photo is downloaded; only after you accept does your browser download the images from Behold’s servers, which, as with any image on the web, receive your IP address and your browser’s technical data. Fonts and site content

The fonts are hosted directly on this domain (no Google Fonts or other external CDNs are used), so they involve no third-party requests or cookies. Images and site content are also served from this domain.

Managing consent

On your first visit you can accept, reject or choose category by category; closing the banner with the X counts as rejecting. Your choice lasts 180 days, then I ask again. You can change your mind at any time with the Manage cookies link in the footer of every page: if you withdraw a consent you had given, the page reloads without the tool you excluded. Alternatively you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings.
